Just Another Manic Monday

.

Okay, so maybe it's not a manic Monday.  Actually it's a very laid back relaxing Monday.  Seems like I've spent the past month go go going.  Not fun.  I long to spend more time at home but it seems there is always something calling me out. Anyways...off of that subject.  It's been a fairly productive morning...sitting here now with A on my chest sleeping and E playing with my hair.  I have also managed to clean the bathroom so far. Oh oh oh...I found the best cleaning product.  Kaboom...AMAZING...it does exactly what the commerical says...I am in love.  I have been trying to switch over to more natural cleaners...but wow...seriously...you can't beat this stuff.  Spray it on, a couple minutes wipe it off and you have a super clean tub.  Yup..love it.

Speaking of cleaning...do you have any tips for cleaning more naturally?  I have been using vinegar and water for everything (except the bathtub..lol) with a little essential oil in it.  It works great but the smell can still get to be a bit much when I go on an all day cleaning rampage.

My menu for this week has gotten all messed up so I will post that later in the week.  Also...I know right off the top of my head that you can get super cheap Peter Pan peanut butter this week.  It's $1.67 and there is a .50/1 coupon that can be printed.  Also there is a Meijer Mealbox for $1.00/3.  We go through peanut butter like crazy so it's good to be able to stock up at less than $1.00 each.

Well all...have a great day.  Stay safe.  Now..I think I might run off and make some Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies.

Hillbilly

So..today I really don’t have too much to say, so I’m wondering why I’m even writing.  Maybe I can do a quick update.

I am very excited about having gotten the 4 sales this past weekend, this is going to help buy my daughter a new pair of shoes, but beyond that I’ve been able to start picking up different supplies, and I have to mention it’s 40% off coupon week at hobby lobby.  Very exciting because that is just down the street from my house rather and has more stuff than the little Joann’s that we have (I really really really miss my Joann’s Ect that I had 5 mins from my house before we moved). So anyways, the only bad part is I have to go in there everyday to pick up an item to get the 40% off, one per customer per day.  My biggest problem is decided what to buy, whether I should stat stocking up on some Christmas yarn, or stocking up on flour sack towels (which I did already pick up the pack to complete the kitty set, that should hopefully be posted next week).

I did get posted the first of the hillbilly collection of wall hangings I’m going to be doing.   These are a lot of fun.  The pattern is a vintage Aunt Martha pattern and I antiqued the fabric before embroidering.  My later thought was that I should have antiqued it after I embroidered it but you live and learn right.  I’m working on the second one of the collection right now and am hoping to have it posted before the end of the week.  From there I’m going to make a quick switch over to the final kitty and then do up a couple snowmen hangings as well.

So, that’s my ramblings for the day..a whole bunch of nothing really. Have a great day!!!

Happy Happy Day

I’m so super duper happy.  You know that happiness you have when someone decides they want to buy your stuff, well times that by 4 today as somehow, someway (which I am actually going to call it answered prayer) I was able to get 4 sales this past weekend, actually not even this weekend, yesterday.  I’m still waiting on two of them to go through, but still how exciting is that.  Not that I’m going to do much with it except put the majority of in back into the business to get supplies but still, I’m so excited to be able to pick out new yarn colors and/or maybe some other ideas I have rolling around in my head for items to sell.  Super excited, can you tell.

Anyways..enough ranting about that.  I was actually excited to blog about something else that I even took specific pictures for..lol  Probably kind of boring to most, but something else that made me excited (doesn’t take much right).  This weekend, I pulled out my old back of tricks..the ones many people use so they aren’t mine but one that I had set aside once I became a mommy and started staying at home.  I actually sat down and planned out this weeks menu, not necessarily by day, but at least the meals.  THEN, I actually did all of the basic prep for these meals, shopped onion, peppers, and mushrooms..browned meat ahead of time for those types of meals.  I was able to get some Ziploc containers at the store last week for .75 each with coupons..2/$4 and I have $2.50 worth of coupons on two (should have picked up 4 but whatever), so I used those and actually divided up the veggies and put sets in containers, so all I have to do is pull  it out of the fridge and dump..WOOHOO.  I had a blast doing it..and now I won’t be bothered by it this week.  I have to remember to do this every week.

I think I am going to try to start a weekly feature regarding sales and coupons. After yesterday's grocery experience, I thought I might be able to help people out with some of the information I have learned. For those that are really interested, a great site to use is http://www.hotcouponworld.com/. Unfortunately, today's will be a quick one...little one is up and playing in her crib already.

Let's start with this week's Meijer ad..they are listing 10 for $10 with the 11th free on many items...some of the freebies or almost free I found with double coupons (.50)

Betty Crocker Warm Delights= .50/1 (week 6/28 inserts, or at http://www.smartsource.com/, or at http://www.bettycrocker.com/ or at http://www.coupons.com/) = free

Betty Crocker Cookie Mix = .40/1 (http://www.bettycrocker.com/) = .20 each

Now I know that these are just odd examples, many people would say but we don't use those but these are just a couple quick examples..next week I will go more in depth (when I have more time). Plus is you get them for free, why not give them a try..you might like them. I personally got 2 of the oatmeal cookie mixes (although I always make our cookies from scratch) to use to make a crumble for crisps when I'm in a hurry and need a quick dessert.

I also wanted to let you know that Kroger has crest on sale for $1.00. There are many coupons out there that will make this free (week's 7/5 and 6/5 PG insert)

Anyways..I hope this helps..now I'm off to start the day.
